Launch of the world’s first carbon neutral footballer Merih Demiral in June 2020

To celebrate the United Nations World Environment Day on 5th of June 2020, Merih Demiral will share a video at 9 am (Central European Time) to support Biodiversity Regeneration and invite everyone to share why it’s Time for Nature. Nature is on the verge of a breakdown. One million animal and plant species are likely to disappear - soon. Be a part of the solution and join Merih Demiral in the global call #ForNature by taking Climate Action to secure the future of generations to come on this planet. Your support is very important to help restore the balance on Earth; please share Merih's Instagram post in your story or retweet it on your Twitter profiles.

The Ecofriend World engagement platform of Worldview Impact Foundation named one of its forests in Myanmar after the Juventus football player MerihDemiral, who took action to offset all the CO2 emissions that he created in the past 22 years of his life. This forest of the tide, with GPS coordinates 17°07'42.6"N 94°29'24.5"E, was created in the “Thor Heyerdahl Climate Park” in the Irrawaddy Delta Region of Myanmar for Merih Demiral by Carbon Neutral Heroes project owner Ertan Can Yazıcı, with the support of the United Nations Environment Programme. By supporting the Mangrove Restoration project at the “Thor Heyerdahl Climate Park”, Merih Demiral became the world’s first carbon neutral footballer. This Climate Action Campaign will continue as a global project with other famous footballers from different countries to plant 1 billion trees by 2030.
